TNL12K
CNC short turning machine with a maximum turning diameter of 16 mm. Up to four tool carriers, high-frequency spindles and handling systems ensure high efficiency and facilitate an ideal adaptation to your requirements.
The fixed headstock version of the proven CNC sliding headstock technology TNL12,with a plus in benefits for economic machining of shorter parts:

The kinematics
Thanks to its modular design of the TNL12K, it is a means of production that is suitable – optimally and without compromise – for the economic manufacture of small, high-precision turned parts with a diameter of up to 16 mm. The workpiece complexity is decisive for the configuration of the machine, for which up to 9 linear axis are available.
The concept of the TRAUB TNL12K is based on the innovative arrangement of all four tool carriers in two working levels that cross each other. The tool carriers 1 and 2 with each 6 stations for fixed or individually driven tools are designed as turrets with high-precision and very fast indexing. The chip-to-chip time is 0.3 seconds.
The front working and backworking attachments have each up to four stations for fixed or individually driven tools. A high level of complete machining is achieved by using a counter spindle with identical design in combination with the main spindle. Up to four tools are used at the two spindles simultaneously.
View into the work area
Independently of the configuration, the TNL12K is very compact and thus can be integrated ideally in existing machine groups. Its working area can be accessed very well from both sides. Because of tool holders that are preset outside of the machine, the setup times are exceptionally short. Hereby, the patented tool mountings guarantee a precise positioning with repeating accuracy.
The extremely fast 64-bit control unit TRAUB TX8i provides user-oriented software for the use, operation and optimization on the machine.
